People always seem surprised to learn that I, as an engineering student, have even the faintest interest in art. Few know that I actually applied to, and was accepted to art school as well. I was two weeks away from beginning the first year art program in the Honors College at Alfred University when fate intervened to bring me to Olin College a year earlier than I had initially planned. Though I have maintained some connection to the arts since then, I continually regret not pursuing it more actively.
